Relativistic Quarkonia from Anisotropic Lattices *
The study of heavy quark systems on the lattice is complicated by the large separation of momentum scales which are difficult to accommodate on isotropic lattices. Over the years many effective descriptions of QCD have been developed for low energies and tested against a wealth of experimental data [1–3]. However, the (non-)perturbative control of higher dimensional operators is very difficult ...
متن کاملAnisotropic Diffusion in ITK
Anisotropic Non-Linear Diffusion is a powerful image processing technique, which allows to simultaneously remove the noise and enhance sharp features in two or three dimensional images. Anisotropic Diffusion is understood here in the sense of Weickert, meaning that diffusion tensors are anisotropic and reflect the local orientation of image features. This is in contrast with the non-linear diff...
متن کاملExotic Quarkonia from Anisotropic Lattices
We study in detail the spectrum of heavy quarkonia with different orbital angular momentum along with their radial and gluonic excitations. Using an anisotropic formulation of Lattice QCD we achieved an unprecedented control over statistical errors and were able to study systematic errors such as lattice spacing artefacts, finite volume effects and relativistic corrections. First results on the...
متن کاملAnisotropic Lattices and Dynamical Fermions ∗
We report results from full QCD calculations with two flavors of dynamical staggered fermions on anisotropic lattices. The physical anisotropy as determined from spatial and temporal masses, their corresponding dispersion relations, and spatial and temporal Wilson loops is studied as a function of the bare gauge anisotropy and the bare velocity of light appearing in the Dirac operator. The anis...
متن کاملDynamical Fermions on Anisotropic Lattices
We report on our study of two-flavor full QCD on anisotropic lattices using O(a)-improved Wilson quarks coupled with an RG-improved glue. The bare gauge and quark anisotropies corresponding to the renormalized anisotropy ξ = as/at = 2 are determined as functions of β and κ, using the Wilson loop and the meson dispersion relation at several lattice cutoffs and quark masses.
